Central Networks West

Project Overview:

Central Networks (West) owns and operates the main electrical distribution system in the Midlands covering an area from Bristol to Stafford and the Welsh Marches to Eastern Birmingham. Working with partners our remit includes providing specialist design and system planning expertise to allow the continued successful growth and operation of the network.

Project Involvement:

• Preparation of network designs to allow connection of new business loads to the network. This includes the impact on both 11 kV and higher voltage systems;

• Design of network reconfiguration schemes to improve network reliability and improve service to customers;

• Specification of connection strategies for major customers such as new hospitals and major industrial plants to meet security and operational requirements.
